Michigan State Police member's pursuit led to fatal hit-and-run of Samuel Sterling, wanted on warrants; case referred for review and potential charges.

Michigan State Police (MSP) completed its investigation into the April 17th death of Samuel Sterling, who was hit and killed by an MSP member during a pursuit in Kentwood. The MSP member was chasing Sterling, who was wanted on multiple warrants, in an unmarked vehicle. The case has been referred to the Michigan Department of Attorney General for review and possible criminal charges. The trooper involved is on unpaid administrative leave.
