Federal appeals court upholds Steve Bannon's contempt conviction.

The federal appeals court has upheld the contempt conviction of Steve Bannon, a longtime advisor to former President Donald Trump, for defying a subpoena from the January 6 House select committee. The court rejected Bannon's challenges to his contempt of Congress conviction, maintaining that his claim of relying on legal advice to not comply with the subpoena was not a valid defense. As a result, Bannon could soon be the second former Trump aide to be jailed for ignoring a subpoena from the committee.
