Head coach Antonio Pierce of the Las Vegas Raiders has placed 2023 draft pick Aidan O'Connell ahead of Gardner Minshew in the quarterback competition. O'Connell's strong work ethic in the offseason has earned him the right to compete for the first snap. Minshew, who signed a two-year contract, will need to prove himself in the coming months as the Raiders remain open for future quarterback acquisitions.
