Camryn Manheim is leaving "Law & Order" at the end of Season 23, with her final episode as Lieutenant Kate Dixon scheduled for the season 23 finale on May 16. Manheim will not return for Season 24, and another major cast member also departed during the season. Series creator Dick Wolf commented on Manheim's exit, expressing gratitude for her contributions and wishing her well in her next chapter.
