A Michigan judge has sentenced former pharmacy executive Barry Cadden, ex-head of the New England Compounding Center, to at least 10 years in prison for the deaths of 11 people who were injected with tainted pain medication in 2012. The outbreak, which affected hundreds across the US, led to at least 64 deaths. Cadden pleaded no contest to involuntary manslaughter in March. His lab was found to be in poor condition, leading to the growth of mold in the manufacturing process.
