39-year-old Marcus Nunes Filho completed a marathon to raise £30k for his mother Irani's life-saving surgery after she developed acute thrombosis and tumoral thrombosis, resulting in both leg amputations. Despite collapsing at mile 18 and being put in an induced coma, Marcus continued his efforts. His mother's surgery was successful, and she has since made a full recovery.
