40-year-old man died in hospital after a two-car crash on the A947 near Newmachar involving a white Citroen DS3 and a blue Seat Leon. The incident took place around 8am, and the driver of the Seat sustained a minor injury. The road was closed for more than seven hours, and the police are appealing for information. The road has since reopened, and enquiries are ongoing.
