Malaysian national Sin Keong Choong, 49, is charged for his involvement in the importation of 100 kg of methamphetamine concealed in leather sandals into Australia. The drugs were discovered in a consignment of six boxes from Thailand at Port Botany. Choong attempted to collect the consignment using fake identification before being identified and searched at his home in Burwood, Victoria. If convicted, he could face life imprisonment.
