Wales opens UK's first national security operations centre (SOC) to protect public sector from cyber threats.
Wales has opened the UK's first national security operations centre (SOC) to protect local authorities, fire and rescue services, and 60,000 public sector employees from cyber threats. The CymruSOC programme, managed by Cardiff-based firm Socura for a three-year contract, will share threat intelligence with the UK's National Cyber Security Centre. CymruSOC is supported by 18 of Wales' 22 local authorities and is part of the Welsh Parliament's Cyber Action Plan.
