17,000 Tennessee EPB customers lost power due to storms and flooding, causing widespread power outages.

Storms and flooding in Tennessee have caused extensive power outages, with nearly 17,000 EPB customers initially without power. The outages resulted from downed trees and storm debris, as well as damage to power infrastructure. EPB deployed 290 workers to expedite repairs and is increasing the number of crews to over 340. In the meantime, customers are encouraged to avoid unnecessary travel and report downed power lines.
