SUNY Oneonta, a Central New York public university, received a $1.8M (12.7% increase) in state funding, from the FY 2025 Enacted New York State budget. The funds will support mental health services, campus accessibility, food insecurity aid, and local workforce training in Otsego County. This additional funding comes amid the closure of three small colleges in the Upstate New York region in the past year.
