A home in south Charlotte caught fire on Huntcliff Drive after a suspected lightning strike to the chimney on Thursday. Firefighters responded to the incident around 4:25 a.m., containing the fire within 20 minutes. No injuries were reported, but the estimated damages from the fire were around $90,000. The Charlotte Fire Department said the fire was "most likely caused by a lightning strike to the chimney of the home."
