Sega Sammy Holdings sells Seagaia resort in Japan to Fortress Investment Group for 8.5 billion yen.
Japanese gaming company Sega Sammy Holdings, known for "Sonic the Hedgehog" video games, has agreed to sell its Seagaia resort complex in Miyazaki, Japan, to US-based Fortress Investment Group for 8.5 billion yen. Sega Sammy will continue to work with Phoenix Resort Co., acquiring 20% of voting rights post-sale, to focus on its core strengths in video games. Fortress Investment Group, with experience in acquiring 176 hotels since 2011, was chosen for the deal.
