Philippine telecom giant PLDT seeks a $1bn valuation for its data center business, considering a partial sale or REIT listing. PLDT owns the largest data center network in the Philippines and is looking to cash in on its data center business to cut group debt, which stood at 257bn pesos as of end-March. The company plans to finalize the sale of its ICT subsidiary, ePLDT, by June, potentially through a REIT listing or deal with strategic investors like Japan's NTT.
