On May 9th, Greater Manchester Police arrested a machete-wielding suspect and two others in Wigan town centre following multiple reports from the public. Local businesses locked down for safety, but no members of the public were injured. Officers apprehended the suspects, recovered two knives, and remain in the area to provide reassurance. All three suspects are in custody.
