Lithuania has parliamentary approval to send troops for a training mission in Ukraine.

Lithuania's Prime Minister, Ingrida Šimonytė, has stated that her country is prepared to deploy troops to Ukraine for a training mission, despite Russia's nuclear threats. Lithuania has parliamentary authorization to send soldiers to Ukraine, but Kiev has not yet made a request. Prime Minister Šimonytė mentioned that Moscow might consider such a move by Vilnius a provocation, but the Lithuanian authorities are not concerned about Russia's response.
