Volunteers in Brazil create a shelter for flood-affected dogs in Canoas, as over 100 people die and 300,000 displaced.

Volunteers in Brazil have created a makeshift shelter in an abandoned warehouse to care for hundreds of dogs affected by severe flooding in the city of Canoas. Over 100 people have died, and more than 300,000 have been displaced due to the floods, which have also hit animals. The makeshift shelter focuses on treating and feeding sick or injured dogs, with hopes of reuniting them with their owners. The volunteers continue their work as renewed heavy rain is expected in the region.
