Hawaii health officials report no widespread lead exposure from last summer's devastating Maui wildfires, despite significant lead concentrations in fire ash. Out of 557 residents' blood samples, only 27 tested positive, with subsequent tests revealing 15 as false positives. State Health Director Dr. Kenneth Fink stated that there are no expected health impacts from toxins in the wildfire ash.
