A Gate gas station employee was shot during an attempted robbery in Jacksonville early Thursday morning. The suspect, wearing a burgundy hoodie and dark pants, entered the store with a handgun and demanded money from the safe. The employee was hit several times but is in stable condition. The robber fled without taking any money, and police are seeking witnesses and information.
