Former Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Governor Godwin Emefiele faces trial on charges of abuse of office, bribes, corruption, and fraudulent property receipts. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) tendered bundles of documents, including accounts, in court. Witnesses claim Emefiele sought bribes and pressured a contractor to pay $600,000 for a contract. The case adjourned until May 17 for further trial.
