Beijing plans to build a 5,000 km greenway network by 2035, encompassing central districts, plains, and mountainous areas. By 2035, over 2,000 km of city-level greenways will be available, connecting 5,000 residential areas, 780 villages, 460 tourist attractions, and 460 historical/cultural sites. Since 2013, Beijing has constructed 1,465 km of greenways, restoring and integrating ecological resources along the lines.
