45-year-old Paul Growns, a van driver from Maidstone, Kent, has been living in his car with his dogs, Max and Toby, for two years despite working full-time. He became homeless in January 2022 and has not been offered temporary accommodation as the council claims he is not in priority need. Almost all private temporary accommodation has a no pet policy, and Paul refuses to rehome or put down his dogs to find a permanent home.
