47-year-old Indian-origin scammer Murlidharan Muhundan sentenced to 8 years in prison for defrauding six victims of over SGD 2.85 million (USD 2.10 million) in Singapore. Between June 2020 and October 2022, Muhundan conned victims aged 57-77 by claiming to help them recover lost funds from previous investments. Muhundan pleaded guilty to 18 counts of cheating involving over SGD 1 million and faces up to 10 years in jail and fines for each count.
