VCSU receives $5M donation from alumnus Gary Tharaldson for facility upgrades and scholarships.
Valley City State University (VCSU) received its largest gift in history, a $5M donation from alumnus Gary Tharaldson and his family. The funds will support the Forward Together Capital Campaign, aiming to upgrade facilities and provide scholarships. The donation will help expand VCSU's main athletic building, W.E. Osmon Fieldhouse, built in 1960, to meet the needs of nearly 300 Viking athletes.
