79% of US biotech companies surveyed by the Biotechnology Innovation Organization (BIO) have agreements with Chinese manufacturers, as Congress considers bills to restrict such business over national security concerns. BIO, which represents 124 companies, including many small, emerging biotechs, has expressed concerns about the potential impact on patients and the long timeframe to switch manufacturing partners.
