Tongan doctor Patelisio Na'a Patelisio's own PTSD following the Hunga Tonga-Hunga Ha'apai volcanic eruption inspired his Masters research on PTSD in Pacific children. Graduating in May, Patelisio aims to improve mental health support in the Pacific region, particularly for children affected by natural disasters. His research was conducted at the University of Auckland's School of Population Health.
