San Jose firefighters respond to Sunrise Middle School for CO2 exposure, two students hospitalized, investigating cause.

San Jose firefighters responded to Sunrise Middle School after receiving reports of multiple students experiencing difficulty breathing. Elevated levels of carbon dioxide were found in one classroom. Two students were taken to the hospital, while another six were picked up by their parents. The San Jose Fire Department's hazardous materials team is investigating the cause of the medical distress.
