NIA attaches six properties of top JeM militant Asif Ahmed Malik in J&K under UAPA.
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has attached six immovable properties belonging to a top Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) militant, Asif Ahmed Malik, in Jammu and Kashmir under Section 33 (1) of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967. Malik was arrested in January 2020 with weapons, ammunition, and explosives and charged under various sections of the Indian Penal Code, the Explosive Substances Act, and other acts. The case involves the transportation of terrorists into Kashmir, infiltration, and the seizure of arms, explosives, and other materials used by JeM operatives. The NIA has attached 109 properties in Jammu and Kashmir under the provisions of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act.
