New Zealand's Accident Compensation Corporation (ACC) plans to cut 390 jobs, nearly 10% of its workforce, in a cost-saving drive. The proposed changes aim to remove duplication, limit expenditure, and stop work not closely connected to client outcomes. The ACC has not been directly instructed by the government to cut costs but has decided to pursue savings of around 6.5%. The final decisions on the changes will be made in June.
