Irish Continental Group (ICG), owner of Irish Ferries, reports an 8.3% increase in revenues to €177 million in the five months to May 4th, with ferry division revenues rising 12% to €119.7 million. The boost in volumes is attributed to a 21.2% increase in cars transported to 153,000 and a 16.5% rise in roll-on/roll-off (RoRo) freight volumes. Despite a 1.1% drop in container and terminal division revenues to €68.8 million, ICG predicts a potentially "record year" for the company.
