Delhi High Court ruled that Indian law and prison rules do not permit parole for prisoners to maintain conjugal relationships, especially with live-in partners. The court said a prisoner cannot claim a fundamental right to have a child with their live-in partner, when their legally married spouse is still alive. Granting parole on such grounds would set a dangerous precedent, the court noted.
