10-day IL: Giants' Soler with right shoulder strain, Ramos recalled from Triple-A Sacramento.
The San Francisco Giants have placed outfielder/DH Jorge Soler on the 10-day injured list due to a right shoulder strain. Soler, who signed a $42M deal, has struggled this season with a .202 batting average. Heliot Ramos, the Giants' 2017 first-round pick, has been recalled from Triple-A Sacramento to replace Soler. Ramos has shown promise, hitting .296 with eight home runs in the minors.
