Chinese automaker BYD plans a second European assembly plant in 2025, targeting EV leadership in Europe by 2030.

BYD, a Chinese automaker, plans to consider building a second assembly plant in Europe in 2025, according to Michael Shu, European managing director. Shu stated the company aims to become a leading electric vehicle maker in Europe by 2030. BYD had already announced plans in December to build an EV plant in Hungary, marking the first major Chinese automaker with a production base in Europe.
