Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks euthanized three black bears in Missoula due to repeated conflicts in residential areas, including getting into garbage, bird feeders, and garages. Efforts were made to secure attractants last fall, but the bears remained in neighborhoods, exhibiting bold behavior. FWP noted that once bears become conditioned to human food sources, it's difficult to break the habit and poses human safety concerns.
