Argentina's industrial output dropped 21.2% in March year-on-year, the worst since the pandemic, as the government under President Javier Milei pushes an austerity program. Industrial production fell 21.2% from a year ago, worse than the 13.5% decline expected, while construction activity plummeted 42%. Argentina's economy is expected to contract 3.5% this year, with much of the pain in the first half.
