Low-cost green fixed rate mortgages are now available for AIB self-build customers, offering lower interest rates for those building energy-efficient homes. Self-build customers must adhere to building regulations, including nearly zero energy building (nZEB) standards, which require new homes to achieve A2 or better building energy ratings (BER) and homes undergoing significant renovations to achieve a B2 or better BER.
