43-year-old John Murphy Jr, found not guilty by reason of insanity for murdering his brother and attempting to murder his father, will be detained at Dublin's Central Mental Hospital (CMH). Murphy suffers from paranoid schizophrenia and meets the conditions for detention under the Criminal Law (Insanity) Act 2005. He will be examined by the Mental Health (Criminal Law) Review Board every six months.
