27-year-old Coltyn Nowatzke, an inmate at LaPorte County Jail, died under investigation. Inmate Nowatzke was found unresponsive in his cell on Tuesday morning, and jail staff initiated lifesaving efforts. Nowatzke was transported to a hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. He was arrested on May 3 for a probation violation. The LaPorte County Sheriff's Office is handling the investigation.
