Two women, Tammy Hinds (34) and Nancy Hinds (68), were arrested in Storey County on charges of child abuse/neglect and false imprisonment after a welfare check revealed a child locked in a small room without food, water, or bathroom access, requiring medical attention. The child and sibling have been removed and placed under the care of the Department of Child and Family Services. The investigation is ongoing.
