Unified Command plans to use explosives to free the Dali container ship from the wreckage of the Francis Scott Key Bridge. The crew will stay on board and shelter in place during the operation, which is expected to last within the next week. Explosives will be placed on the truss, and the method used will be similar to those employed to separate many of the bridge pieces in the Patapsco River.
