Rome is Europe's first city to offer open-loop transit payments to JCB cardholders, enabled by Nexi and UnionPay partnerships. This contactless payment service, active on Rome's entire transportation network, allows users to pay fare on authorized turnstiles and readers with convenience, security, and 24-hour fare calculation. Supported card schemes include Mastercard, Visa, American Express, and UnionPay.
