Pop singer Charli XCX confirmed during a recent interview on Watch What Happens Live that she was asked to write music for a new Britney Spears album, but it's unclear if Spears was directly involved in the process. Although Charli went to Malibu to write songs with the expectation that Britney would record them, Spears ultimately did not record them.
