Philippines manufacturing output fell in March, with a 1.7% decline in year-on-year value of production index (VaPI) and a 0.8% decrease in volume of production index (VoPI), according to the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA). The decline can be attributed to a 7.2% drop in food product manufacturing. However, the manufacture of chemical and chemical products saw the highest growth rate at 29.1%.
