57 OIC member states, at the May 4-5 summit in Banjul, Gambia, expressed concern for forcibly expelled Azerbaijanis in Armenia and endorsed their peaceful, safe, and dignified return. The OIC also condemned the desecration of Muslim cultural heritage in the country. This marks the first international organization to support the return of Azerbaijanis from Armenia, expected to facilitate their repatriation.
