Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde said those speaking Pakistan's language while living in India should be charged with treason and put behind bars, accusing opposition leaders Vijay Wadettiwar and Farooq Abdullah of frustration about PM Narendra Modi's rise. Shinde argued that this behavior is treason against the nation and criticized former CM Sharad Pawar for not doing enough for Maharashtra during his tenure.
