Judge Lee Rudofsky partially granted a preliminary injunction on Arkansas LEARNS Act, allowing teachers to discuss critical race theory without discipline.

Judge Lee Rudofsky partially granted a preliminary injunction in a lawsuit challenging the Arkansas LEARNS Act, allowing two teachers to continue discussing critical race theory in their classrooms without being disciplined. Section 16 of the Act prohibits schools from teaching "indoctrination," "critical race theory," or any curriculum that encourages discrimination. Rudofsky decided the law was not worded in such a way as to prevent teachers from discussing certain topics, including critical race theory, as long as they were not forcing beliefs on students.
