Northern Alberta's Hinton Health Centre ER closed overnight due to a sudden staffing gap, lasting from May 5 to May 6, 7am. EMS was re-routed to nearby facilities in Jasper and Edson during the closure, and all other services at the site continued to operate as usual. Alberta Health Services thanked surrounding healthcare centers, medical staff, and the community for their support and understanding.
