A federal parliamentary inquiry is investigating insurance companies' responses to flood claims in the Central West of NSW. The inquiry, headed by the House Standing Committee on Economics, heard testimonies from flood-affected residents in Molong and Eugowra, who reported issues such as broken promises, misguided figures, poor communication, and pressure to accept low cash settlements.
