Dubai taxi fares increased 6% in May to Dh2.09 per kilometre following four consecutive months of petrol price hikes in the UAE. This adjustment is due to changes in fuel prices affecting taxi fares, as per the Roads and Transport Authority. The base fare remains unchanged at Dh12. The increase in fuel prices led to a surge in revenue and profits for the Dubai Taxi Company in Q1 of 2024.
