Budget carrier Scoot, a subsidiary of Singapore Airlines, operated its first Embraer E190-E2 jet on a commercial flight from Changi to Krabi on May 8, 2024. The aircraft, with 112 seats in a 2-2 single class configuration, is smaller and lighter, allowing it to land on runways inaccessible to larger aircraft. Scoot has ordered nine additional E190-E2 jets, with deliveries expected until the end of 2025.
